We Want You! (to Volunteer)
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our museum and its many programs. They provide an invaluable service by offering their time, expertise and enthusiasm. If you have a passion for the military, history, museums or just want to serve the public, we encourage you to come volunteer at the First Division Museum.

Timeframe:
Year-round, requires a commitment of at least four-hour work periods.
Positions and Duties:
- Lobby Greeter: Greet visitors in the lobby and answer questions.
- School Tour Guides: Lead school groups, ages 4th – 12th grades, mostly during the school year.
- Vehicle Volunteer: Assist in the restoration of historic military vehicles and participate in living history displays and area parades.
- Artifact Aide: Assist in identifying, photographing, and cataloguing artifacts in the museum’s holdings.
- Data Entry: Enter information into the collections database or the Bridgehead Sentinel (Veterans’ Newsletter) database.
- Research Assistant: Assist in filling research requests and assist patrons with general research in the McCormick Research Center.
- Archives Assistant: Assist the archivist in processing donated collections.
- Library Assistant: Assist in book inventory as well as day-to-day operations such as shelving books.
