Operation Enduring Freedom: The 1st Division in Afghanistan

The First Division Museum at Cantigny is proud to announce its 2011 Summer Exhibit, Operation Enduring Freedom: The 1st Division in Afghanistan. The exhibit features photographs from the Division’s 2008-2009 deployment as well as their current deployment to Afghanistan. It also features 28 photographs from Jason Dorsey, a photographer and soldier with the 1-178th Infantry Regiment of the Illinois Army National Guard. This unit was attached to the 1st Division during its 2008-09 deployment. The exhibit also features artifacts and uniforms worn by 1st Division and Illinois National Guard soldiers. Also on display is an interactive armored HMMV door exhibit, which allows visitors to see and feel its size and weight.
