      A Date With History

The Remains of Company D: A Story of the Great War

      Wednesday, Nov. 4
      7:30 pm

      Doors open at 6:45 pm
      Free parking and admission

Come to the First Division Museum at Cantigny for an evening with author and historian  James Carl Nelson as he speaks on his recently released book, The Remains of Company D: A Story of the Great War. A book signing will follow.

The Remains of Company D follows the experiences of a small group of soldiers from Company D, 28th Infantry Regiment, First Infantry Division as they fight through the battles of Cantigny, Soissons, St. Mihiel, and the Meuse-Argonne. This small-unit account brings these battles into perspective from the eyes of these men and also complements the American War effort as a whole during World War I.
