Join us as Lieutenant Colonel Pat Proctor, an active-duty officer with two tours in Iraq, speaks on his newly released book Task Force Patriot and the End of Combat Operations in Iraq. Proctor’s book documents his personal experiences as an operations officer with Task Force Patriot, the last battalion to occupy Saddam Hussein’s hometown of Tikrit during combat operations. Despite resistance from insurgents, Iraqi politicians, and, occasionally, the U.S. interagency team, TF Patriot found itself in a position to not only improve conditions in its area, but solve the last unsettled problem of the Iraq War, the sectarian divide.”
