"The night air chilled Caspar Wistar as he walked alongside a wagon filled with medical supplies, part of an eleven-thousand-man army creeping toward a small Pennsylvania hamlet. He wondered if General George Washington’s medical corps would again run short of wound dressings when battle met the sunrise."

Thus begins Scott McGaugh's book, Battlefield Angels: Saving Lives Under Enemy Fire from Valley Forge to Afghanistan. Join us as McGaugh discusses advances in military medicine, as told through the personal stories of Medics and Corpsmen throughout American History. A book signing will follow.

As marketing director and lead spokesman for the USS Midway Museum, Scott McGaugh has appeared on the History Channel, Travel Network, Discovery Channel, and more. He has also given more than 100 speeches and presentations to a wide range of audiences.
