      A Date With History

      Stolen Valor

      Wednesday, September 1
      7:30 pm
      Doors open at 6:45 pm
      Free parking and admission

Join us as military researcher and Vietnam veteran, B.G. Burkett, speaks on his book, Stolen Valor: How the Vietnam Generation Was Robbed of its Heroes and its History. In over ten years of research in the National Archives, Burkett uncovered a massive distortion of history.

Burkett was co-chairman of the Texas Vietnam Memorial with President George Bush as Honorary Chairman. Mr. Burkett has been the object of an award-winning segment on ABC's 20/20, as well as much acclaimed articles in Texas Monthly and Reader's Digest. He served in Vietnam with the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnamese Honor Medal, and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm.

      A book signing will follow.
