Scout-O-Rama is an entire day of Scouting activities, displays, games and FUN designed for Scouts of all ages, parents, siblings, and the general public to CELEBRATE, PARTICIPATE, and EXPERIENCE Scouting at its best in the Three Fires Council.
In partnership with numerous sponsors, Three Fires Council Scout units and volunteers will host the Scout show of all times featuring 100 Years of Scouting — “Celebrating the Adventure ~ Continuing the Journey” on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (rain or shine). The event will take place at Cantigny Park located at 1S151 Winfield Road in Wheaton, IL. The event will showcase over 100 activities, Scouting‘s history leading up to the 100th Anniversary, the vast offerings of Cantigny Park and other program sponsors.
100th Anniversary Scout-O-Rama 2010 Highlights
- Visit Three Fires Council’s - Largest Midway at Scout-O-Rama.
- Participate in interactive displays, games, and crafts at Scout-O-Rama - over one hundred activities!
- Great fun, fellowship, and Scouting History Displays.
- Outside organizations and sponsors will be on hand with displays and program activities.
- Fox River Radio League will have a Ham Radio Set-up talk to Scouts around the country.
- Order of the Arrow will have Native American displays.
- Cantigny will have concessions available at Scout-O-Rama.
- Participate in the “Amazing Geocaching Race” (bringing your own GPS for the day’s activities).
- Live communications with the Space Station and Scouts worldwide.
- Age appropriate/separate activities for Venturers, Boy Scouts & Cub Scouts.
- Special activities for Cub Scouts including; Marbles, Water Rockets, Sling Shot Activities, BBs and Archery.
- Special activities for Boy Scouts, including, BBs and Archery, Monkey Bridge, Rope Bridge, and our TFC Climbing Wall.
- Free parking and Free shuttle rides to and from Scout-O-Rama & Camporall.
