More Than Just a Museum
While the First Division Museum at Cantigny in Wheaton,
Illinois, is the most visible and recognizable part of what
we do, it is only a portion of a much larger entity. The
Cantigny First Division Foundation is a private, nonprofit
organization that serves to preserve, interpret and present
the history of the 1st Infantry Division in the context of
American military history and affairs.
The foundation accomplishes this through:
- Colonel Robert R. McCormick Research Center
- Cantigny Military History Series
- Educational programs
- Outreach programs
While the museum itself hosts over 110,000 visitors each
year, the foundation reaches another 300,000 through its
publishing program, parades with its historic military
vehicles, guest speakers, radio and television broadcasts,
history trunks to schools and other programs.
