Interwar

February 11, 1919: Soldiers of the First Division establish the Society of the First Division and hold the inaugural meeting at Montabaur, Germany.

June 6, 1919: The Society of the First Division holds its first reunion combined with the first divisional “Circus” at Montabaur.

August 15-25, 1919: The First Division departs the Koblenz Bridgehead, Germany to return to the United States.

September 8, 1919: The last units of the First Division have arrived at Hoboken, New Jersey.

September 10, 1919: The First Division marches in the Victory Parade in New York City.

September 17, 1919: The First Division marches in the Victory Parade in Washington, D.C.

October 1919: The First Division settles into new quarters at Camp Zachary Taylor, Kentucky.
