Maps of the Aisne-Marne Campaign and the Soissons Area

Two maps of the Soissons area are presented here. The town of Soissons was one of the key locations during the Aisne-Marne campaign, but fighting extended beyond the town’s borders and encompassed the area between it and the village of Reims about 9 kilometers away. The two maps pictured here are operational maps that not only chart the deployment of First Division units, but also note the advancement (by date) of those same units through the region.
